Furukawa have responded to customer feedback and have brought out new improved versions of their Tex-B (thermal class B) and Tex-F (thermal class F) wire. Specifically the insulation characteristics have been altered to improve solderability and reduce the issues with soldering meltback associated with the original Tex-B wire. Tex FS offers improved insulation characteristics and solderability over Tex-F. Tex-FS has been approved by UL and VDE for IEC 60601-1 (Medical Electrical Equipment). Working voltage is 250V rms.

Both Tex-F and Tex-B wire will remain available for existing customers for the time being although it is understood that in time they will be phased out.

Customers can purchase from as little as 50 metres of wire and free samples are available on request.
